This policy explains what personal information NoreFab collects through this website, why we hold it and the rights you have over it.
Last updated: August 2026
Who we are
NoreFab is a steel fabrication and design company based at Hebron Industrial Estate, Leggetsrath West, Kilkenny, R95 W58X, Ireland. NoreFab is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about how we handle your information, contact us at info@norefab.ie.
Information we collect
When you complete an enquiry form on this website we collect the basic details you choose to provide, typically your name, company name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message. We may also record the date and time of your submission and limited technical information generated by your browser.
We do not ask for, and would ask you not to submit, sensitive personal information or confidential commercial data through our website forms.
Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and to prepare quotations or proposals.
- To manage our business relationship with you, including project correspondence and record keeping.
- For marketing and business development purposes, such as sending occasional updates about our services, capabilities and projects where you would reasonably expect this or where you have consented.
- To meet our legal, regulatory, quality and health and safety obligations.
Our legal basis
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 we rely on the following legal bases: legitimate interests, to respond to enquiries and to develop our business; performance of a contract, where you engage us for work; consent, for direct electronic marketing where consent is required; and legal obligation, where we must retain records by law.
You may withdraw your consent, or object to marketing, at any time. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe option.
Who we share it with
Enquiries are sent to relevant members of the NoreFab and Noreside Engineering teams so they can be actioned. We also use trusted service providers, such as website hosting, database and email delivery providers, who process information on our behalf under written agreements and only on our instructions. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses are put in place.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to maintain a record of our dealings with you, normally up to six years from our last contact, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Marketing contact details are removed promptly once you unsubscribe or ask us to stop.
Keeping your information secure
Enquiry data is stored in access-controlled systems and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access is limited to staff who need it to carry out their role. No online transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies and similar technologies necessary for the site to function correctly and to keep it secure. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct, erase or restrict its use. You may also object to processing, request that we transfer certain data to another provider, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, email info@norefab.ie. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, or at dataprotection.ie.
